It’s amazing how the very youngest of children can be so brave and cope so well when faced with a life-threatening or debilitating illness. Just as there’s no limit to a child’s imagination, we believe there shouldn’t be a limit to ours and we’re always looking for the help of individuals and companies who share our vision. The more people who get involved, the more dreams we can turn into reality, however big, small or unusual they may be.

Dreams are as individual as children of course, and we’ve had some unexpected requests, including a child who wanted a star named after her, one who dreamed of riding a camel and another who had always wanted to see giant bars of chocolate for sale in the local sweet shop! Plus, of course, there are those universal dreams that many children share, such as wanting to meet Father Christmas, swim with dolphins or go to Disneyland.

It goes without saying that having the chance to live a dream gives a real boost to children whose lives are overshadowed by the effects of a serious illness, a benefit that’s impossible to put a price on.
